Biography

Dr (F) Carmen Dannecker, EBBI, is an FMH-certified specialist in radiology with a subspecialty in breast diagnostics. Since July 2022, she has worked as a Senior Consultant at the Zurich Breast Center. She speaks German, French, English and Romanian.

Between 2010 and 2017, Dr Dannecker worked as a resident in radiology at the Cantonal Hospital of Lucerne, the Cantonal Hospital of Schaffhausen and the Schwarzwald-Baar Clinic in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany. After obtaining her radiology specialist title, she became a senior physician at Bülach Hospital. As part of her subspecialisation in breast diagnostics, she worked at the Cantonal Hospital of Schaffhausen and then at the Bethesda Spital AG in Basel, where she primarily worked in breast diagnostics as a core team member of the associated breast centre.

She studied medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, and the Faculty of Medicine in Strasbourg, France. She then participated in a continuing education programme in general medicine in France, completing the programme with her doctoral thesis in 2020 (DES in General Medicine, specialising in general medicine).

She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at the Universities of Zurich/Basel/Bern.

She is a member of various professional societies, including the French Society of Radiology, the European Society of Radiology, the Swiss Society of Senology and the European Society of Breast Imaging.
