Biography
Dr Kristina Ostertag-Hoop is a specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics, and has been working as a senologist at the Zurich Breast Center since September 2023. She speaks German, Russian and English.
After successfully completing her medical degree at the Ruprecht-Karls University of Heidelberg, Germany, in 2013, she undertook comprehensive clinical training across various medical fields. She worked as a surgical resident at the Cantonal Hospital of Baden (canton Aargau), then as a gynaecology and obstetrics resident at the Muri District Hospital, and again at the Cantonal Hospital of Baden. She later became a senior physician in gynaecology and obstetrics at Muri District Hospital, and worked in a private practice in Brugg (canton Aargau). In 2022, she received her board certification in gynaecology and obstetrics.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Kristina Ostertag-Hoop is actively engaged in continuing education – for example by attending a MIBB workshop held by the Swiss Society of Senology and advanced training in breast ultrasound through the Breast Cancer College. As a co-author of an original research paper, she has also contributed to advancing understanding in the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer.
