Dr. med. Shadi NAJAF ZADEH

Biography

Dr Shadi Najaf Zadeh is a specialist in gynaecology, obstetrics and breast surgery. She obtained her FMH board certification in gynaecology and obstetrics in 2020, and her senology diploma in 2022. After three years as a consultant at the Zurich Breast Center, she has held the position of Senior Consultant in Breast Surgery since September 2023. She speaks German, English, Italian, Persian (Farsi) and Spanish.

After earning a natural sciences baccalaureate in Italy in 2007, Dr Najaf Zadeh studied medicine at the University of Trieste, graduating with highest honours (‘summa cum laude’). She then researched the diagnostic use of human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) in pelvic masses at the Trieste Medical School.

She went on to hold various medical posts: as a resident in gynaecology and obstetrics at Zollikerberg Hospital, the gynaecology clinic at the Cantonal Hospital of Baden, in senology at the Zurich Breast Center, and in gynaecology and obstetrics at the Cantonal Hospital of Lucerne. She also earned the MIBB (minimally invasive breast biopsies) certificate from the Swiss Society of Senology in 2019.

Dr Najaf Zadeh is a member of several professional societies including the Swiss Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (SGGG), the Swiss Society of Senology (SGS) and the Young Forum of Swiss Gynaecology (JFOR). She is committed to the ongoing development of her field.
