Breast care nurses
Your nurse is your everyday point of contact – someone you will get to know personally and you can turn to. Breast care nurses are qualified nursing professionals with additional training and many years of experience in breast cancer care. They listen, advise and provide guidance by:
- Speaking with you after the operation and helping you to plan the next steps,
- Checking in with you during treatment and providing you with the information and support you need,
- Organising the coordination of care across all appointments and teams,
- Offering practical advice and emotional support for you and your family,
- Guiding you to services or support networks that may be helpful.
Oncology nurses
Our oncology nurses are highly trained and experienced in cancer treatment. They are there to support you before, during and after treatment with expert care and clear guidance by:
- Helping you prepare for treatment and manage or minimise side effects,
- Administering chemotherapy and other complex therapies,
- Offering PAXMAN® scalp cooling to reduce hair loss,
- Guiding you through all aspects of self-care, such as injections or wound care,
- Offering practical and emotional support for you and your family throughout the entire treatment process,
- Recommending nutrition consultancy services, psycho-oncological or palliative services,
- Offering palliative care aimed at improving quality of life.
Clinical trials team
If you are considering participating in a clinical trial, our trial coordinators will make this process a little clearer and more manageable. Our lead trial physician will be your point of contact during treatment in the trial and will support you in close cooperation with your treating physician.
